We love to highlight our rehab graduates to celebrate their accomplishments and encourage anyone who may be considering inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation for themselves or a loved one.
If you are wondering if short-term therapy would benefit you and your family, take a look at the following patient success stories for January 2026!

Michael came to Life Care Center of North Glendale after being treated for respiratory failure, pneumonia, and other conditions.
Upon admission, Michael needed complete assistance with lower-body dressing, bathing, self-care, and activities of daily living (ADLs). He also needed some help getting in and out of bed, transitioning from sitting to standing, and walking up to ten feet while also using a front-wheeled walker.
Michael's rehab experience included physical therapy and occupational therapy services five times a week. The therapy team helped Michael increase his lower and upper-body strength, improve his balance, and retrain himself to perform ADLs. He also rebuilt his endurance using the OmniCycle® and participated in group sessions to improve social engagement.
After less than three weeks of therapy, Michael restored his ability to complete all self-care tasks, get in and out of bed, and walk over 150 feet using a front-wheeled walker. Michael returned home to his wife.
"If it wasn't for my therapists, I wouldn't be where I am." –– Michael

Christopher came to Garden Terrace to address significant overall weakness he’d been struggling with for a while.
Upon admission, he required moderate assistance with all ADLs, including getting in and out of bed, dressing, and hygiene tasks. And he was unable to walk on his own.
His personalized rehabilitation plan involved all three therapy disciplines –– physical, occupational, and speech –– five days a week for an hour and a half each day.
Christopher’s goals in physical therapy and occupational therapy were to increase his independence with mobility and ADLs, including walking, while speech therapy focused on restoring his ability to perform higher-level cognitive tasks and improving his memory.
After just a month, Christopher made significant improvements and is now independent with his mobility and ADLs! He is also walking safely with a walker! Christopher made a smooth and proud discharge to an assisted living facility.
"Me in the middle, surrounded by saviors, coaches, best friends...The nicest and most helpful people in the world." –– Christopher
